I spreaded the gospel to a guy today… & I asked did he believe that without holiness we can’t see God (Hebrew 12:14) … Meaning we have to stop sinning, or we won’t get into our father kingdom… He said But didn’t JESUS die for my sins? As if to say… I thought I can keep sinning if jesus paid for it and still enter his kingdom? Here is an parable for all those who believe that as well: Let’s say a person gets a DUI… Paying the fine doesn’t take the person off the hook. They still have to take classes, learn material in efforts that their mindset and behavior changes… So that they understand the importance of drinking and driving & refrain from doing it… Then they are off the hook. Likewise with our walk with God, he utilizes this same authority from his throne. Yes Jesus paid for your sins… But now you must take classes… You must read the word, and learn it in efforts that your mind set, and behavior changes… So that you understand the importance of what God is requesting from us and refrain from sinning. This is becoming born again: when your life style changes and you no longer do those things JESUS died for. Jesus said being born again is a requirement to enter his kingdom. (John 3:5). Here is another parable. If financial aid pays for your schooling… Does that automatically make you a registered nurse? No. You must read books, learn material and pass classes In order to declare you are a registered nurse. Like wise with this walk with God. Yes Jesus paid for you… But you must read his word, learn of him… And overcome trials and temptations sent your way in order to declare you are a true child of the most high God. The word says that’s how he knows if your of him… When you put off the old sinful actions… And put on his ways (Galatians 5:22-23 lists them… Love, joy, peace, faith, enduring, godliness, self control, gentleness, humbleness) … The kingdom of God is at hand! Accept Jesus now , repent! Ephesians 4: 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
