Your motives matter with Jehovah!

Our father knows our heart, and WHY we are giving. Not only MUST our actions line up with the word of God, but our motives and reasons for doing things must line up with the word as well. In my past I was a giver to ppl, but I gave when I didn’t want to… Or because I felt I had to… Giving means nothing in the eyes of God if your heart isn’t right. Jesus informed us of many situations in the bible where a person gave, yet due to the reason they gave, it was unjust in the eyes of God. In one situation the person gave because they were deeply annoyed, as if they gave so the person would hurry up and leave. (Luke 11:5-8). In another situation the person gave because he was annoyed as well, and didn’t want to become wearied… He felt as if the lady was bothering him (Luke 18:1-5)… God desires for us to give cheerfully, out of love… (2 corinthians 9:7) … Not giving and wanting it back… Not giving because you feel you HAVE to… Nor giving and complaining/giving and talking about that person… God desires for us to do unto others as we would want it to be done unto us. (Treating your neighbor as you treat yourself Mark 12:31)… Its a blessing to be able to give!!! That’s an indicator that God hasn’t stopped blessing you!!! God doesn’t give us abundances to store up for ourselves… & buy idols to play with… He wants us to help each other ❤ ***For those who are giving–Always remember that when you give you are giving because you love God… So rather they pay you back or not… U did it because you love God <31 timothy 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Matthew 10: 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Matthew 5:42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Proverbs 3:Say not unto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
